Best Bars/Restaurants in Manchester

Recently, me and my boyfriend took a little trip to Manchester for the second time this year. It’s probably one of my favourite places and was even prettier with all of the christmas markets and lights. I think it’s now safe to say that I have some knowledge on some of what the best restaurants/bars are, especially with the amount of cocktails and food I consumed at these places.

Luck, Lust, Liquor and Burn

In no particular order; Luck Lust Liquor and Burn is the first place I’m going to mention. When I first visited this restaurant, it was both a restaurant and bar. With the bar being on the bottom floor, you could wait for your table to be ready whilst sipping on one of their cocktails waiting to get notified via text that they were ready for you to come up. Now though, it’s all a restaurant BUT it’s still one of my favourite places to go and eat.

The food there is Mexican so it’s everything from burritos to tacos, and they even have a Taco Tuesday where their tacos are only £1!! Two things I suggest getting from there though, are the Halloumi fries and Chicken Blasts- you’ll 100% want to go back after trying these!

Convenience Store

This is definitely my favourite bar in Manchester and if the name didn’t make it obvious, it’s disguised as a convenience store. Once you step inside though, you know it’s far from a convenience store when you see people hovered around the bar drinking their 10/10 cocktails. This bar is quite small, especially when there’s a lot of people in there. But I think it adds to the atmosphere. This is situated in the Northern Quarter and it’s right next to Luck Lust Liquor and Burn, so once you’re done eating, you can let the night commence.

Almost Famous

This restaurant sells the best and most outrageous burgers, anything from burgers filled with Cheerios to topped with Corn Dogs. I visited the Great Northern restaurant, but they do have one located in the Northern Quarter, which is right above Luck Lust Liquor and Burn and Convenience Store. Talk about CONVENEICNE.

Crazy Pedro’s

Crazy Pedro’s is a bar which sells the BEST pizza I have probably ever tried and if you’re not starving and only a little peckish, you can buy a slice for only £3. But if that doesn’t convince you-their cocktails aren’t bad either and offer a happy hour between 5pm-9pm Sunday to Friday.

NQ64

NQ64 is an underground arcade bar, it’s definitely unique and adds a twist on a night out. Their games work on a token system and its £5 for 15 tokens, with games taking 1-2 tokens, which I think is a fair price. This is right next to Pedro’s saving you some pennies on Ubers, which you can add to your drinking fund.

I hope these suggestions help you if you’re visiting Manchester 🙂

If you have been, where do you like to go on a night out?

Thanks for reading,

Taylor x

  1. Considering I live half an hour away from Manchester, I really haven’t taken advantage of the bars and restaurants. Your list has definitely made me want to make the most of it with friends! X
